Common name: Storr’s monitor
Scientific name: Varanus storri
Subgenus: Odatria
First described: Mertens, 1966
Storri is one of my favorite little dwarf monitors, they are truly like a big monitor in a small body. Always out and about, and at least mine show no fear of humans and especially the male will happily take food from my hands.

As for food, storri is not a picky eater and will eat a large variety of prey such as, zophobas, crickets, wax worms, grasshopper, roaches and so on.
